Biography

Hector Mongi is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Dodoma (UDOM) in Tanzania. Hector researches ICT for Development on relevance evaluation for education, agriculture, and water sectors. He is interested in mixed and action-based research backed by evidence and anything related to digitally driven development. On a personal level, he advocates for the first, ninth, and tenth sustainable development goals, focusing on reducing poverty and inequality, and contributing to society by engaging in responsible innovation and equitable entrepreneurship opportunities with a local yet global impact. Hector holds an MSc in IT Management from Carnegie Mellon University, USA, and a PhD in Information Systems from UDOM.
