Biography

Victoria Makulilo is an expert in policy analysis and gender studies. She has worked with the University of Dar es Salaam at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration for over 15 years now. Her research interests include citizen participation in decision making and political processes such as elections. Some of her research works are children and youth participation in decision making in Tanzania: A Need for Vibrant Local Councils; Citizens of A Lesser Gender: Women Participation in Leadership Positions in Tanzania; and Gender dimension and Forced Migration in Tanzania. She is currently conducting research on youth participation in Tanzania: Opportunities and Challenges.
