Identify and categorize the epistemological and ontological frameworks of the citizen science (CS) activities and technologies in the study areas. From project documents, qualitative expert interviews, and participant observation

Identify ILK systems and local aspirations for forest use and governance. With individual and focus group interviews identify how knowledge is customarily generated and applied in communal management of forest resources in the study areas; and with household survey (w/WP2) identify household aspirations

Examine whether and how digital CS activities in the study areas accommodate ILK systems and aspirations. Structural analysis and case studies of CS activities in the study areas Two collaborative workshops w/community members in each study area.
